The European Business Information Centre (EBIC), a programme
within the European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (EUROCHAM) is
cooperating with the Embassy of Italy in Vietnam and the Vietnam
Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and to organize a
seminar on “How to Business with the EU and Italy”. The seminar,
to be held in Thanh Hoa on August 30, 2002 is one in the series
of seminars to help Vietnamese entrepreneurs to better
understand of the market dynamics in Europe and then be able to
establish mutually beneficial links with European/Italian
partners. |

Vietnamese Wood Products and
the EU market |

EBIC/Eurocham organized the seminar in cooperation with the
World Business Newspaper in Hanoi on August 12, 2002.
The
seminar achieved the aim of giving European business an overview
of the current situation of the wood processing industry in
Vietnam. At the same time, it was an opportunity for attending
Vietnamese enterprises to get an overall understanding of
policies and regulations affecting wood product exports to the
European Union market.

On 14 May, 2002,
the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the
Vietnamese-German Project for the Promotion of Small Enterprises (GTZ
SME Promotion Project) and Swisscontact SME Promotion Program
Vietnam organized the Workshop to "Present the Findings and
Results of the Business Development Services (BDS) Market Research
in Vietnam". The workshop took place at VCCI premises in Hanoi. |
